Account and Data Deletion
Last updated:
At Kanso Space we respect your right to privacy and to control your data. If you want to delete your account and all associated information, you can do it directly from the app by following these simple steps.
How to delete your account
- Open the Kanso Space app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll down to "Danger zone" and tap "Delete Account".
- Confirm with "Delete permanently".
Data that will be deleted
When we process the deletion of your account, we will permanently erase:
- Profile Information: Your email address, name, profile photo and the public profile seen by the other members of your spaces.
- Your personal space and everything in it: Notes, links, images, videos and audio recordings, together with the summaries, tags and other data generated by the AI.
- Your notes in shared spaces: Everything you have saved yourself in spaces you share with other people.
- Metadata: Your conversations with your library, preferences, custom settings and the notification identifiers of your devices.
- Subscription status: The record of your plan that we keep on our servers.
What happens to your shared spaces
- If you are the only person in a shared space, the space is deleted along with all its content.
- If you own a space that has other members, ownership passes to the longest-standing member. The space continues to exist, without your notes.
- If you are a member of someone else's space, you leave it and your notes are deleted. Other people's notes are left untouched.
Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an active Kanso Pro subscription. Subscriptions are managed by the store: cancel it from your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account so that it does not renew.
Data Retention
Once the deletion request has been completed:
- Your personal data and authentication credentials are deleted immediately from our authentication system.
- The content stored in our databases and file storage is then erased automatically from our active systems.
- Certain anonymised technical logs may be kept briefly for security and system maintenance reasons, but they will not be linked to your personal identity.
